Week 5

This week we were just carrying on developing and editing our website, mobile layouts and doing code. This was our last week before break so our tutors went through with us what needs to be handed in and what is included in the dossier.

Week 4

at the start of the week we had a responsive code workshop with Tim so we can make our website responsive. Then at the end of the week we spent the studio doing user testing with our pairs in class to see what worked and what we needed to change/develop.

Week 3

This week we were just carrying on creating and developing our websites and also starting to think of our mobile designs. Tim also ran some more classes for HTML and CSS learning. While we could ask Tristum for help or do user testing with him. We need to have our prototypes ready to do user testing with for class next week.

Week 2

This week Tim started giving tutorials on HTML and CSS, while Tristam helped us with user testing and user experience design. I did some research and looked at different news websites to get ideas and inspiration for what I was gonna do mine on.        I have decided to create a website for The Dominion Post. We also started doing user journeys for our own websites.

Week 1

This week Tim and Tristam introduced our module and what we would achieving at the end of the six weeks. We looked at web design processes which was centred around users. Our first exercise introduced us to the different characteristics of web and how things are found and differentiated in both the web and the newspaper. In our second class we started looking at prototypes of websites and also how user testing works. By the start of the next class we were asked to have thought of our own idea for a news website.
